Halloween 2013!!!... Featuring me as Sarah Sanderson of Hocus Pocus!

Hi there! I finally got my photos all sorted and resized! So here's my costume as Sarah Sanderson of Hocus Pocus and the decorations for the intimate party I hosted for Halloween 2013!

^ My ceiling decoration wasn't entirely perfect, but I was happy with it. It was a last minute idea because I had extra orange crepe paper left. ^^

^ I exchanged the bulbs in all the lamps and fixtures with green or black bulbs to add to the Halloween atmosphere.

^ I picked up some pretty nice looking skulls at the supermarket for only $7.00! Cheaper than the ridiculously fake looking ones I bought last year made of styrofoam -.-

^ The most popular decoration of the night! For those unfamiliar, there's a "haunted" Raggedy Ann doll named Annablle in the Warren's museum of haunted junk. Their Raggedy Annabelle is displayed in a box such as the doll above! :3

Our party was pretty low key, after everyone arrived we dined on pizza and candy, carved Jack-O-Laterns, and watched movies, etc. I meant to get pictures of it all but I was too busy trying to be the perfect hostess. I have high standards for parties! :b

As always, I apologize for yet another absence. I can't believe I didn't even follow up the hamster situation yet! I had a hard time taking pictures when we first got her because she was horrified of the camera. I was careful to never use the flash around her but it scared her anyway, and then the cage didn't work out long and she moved into a pink rectangular cage. I'll explain it all soon, and get some pictures up!

Iris~ The Dome Tower~ Part I (deboxing & construction)

The Hamster Dome Tower that is! Recently I was telling my mom about how the next pet I wanna get will be a hamster, since I loved the ones I had when I was younger, and she was all "Yeah, whatever, I don't think you need anymore pets, yadayadayada." However, while she was shopping for my nephew's birthday gift with my brother, she found a tiny white hamster and was helpless under the power of its cuteness. Although she didn't buy it, it seems that she has come around to the idea and we're both in agreement now.

Back when I was younger and purchased small pets, I always just bought the awful cages at whatever store I was in, even though they were usually an explosion of primary colors and clashed with my decor. That's why this time around I've decided to buy the cage in advance to avoid being forced into wasting money on one that I, and my hamster, will end up hating. I seriously think my last hamster DESPISED his cage big time. The fool at the pet store obviously had sold me one that was wayyy too small and it was terrible to try to clean!.. But that is all in the past and today I am here to present to you *ahem* THE HAMSTER DOME TOWER (by IRIS from Japan)!!!!










I got the blue one there. I originally wanted the pink but I thought the blue went better with my stuff. Ironically enough, the final destination of the cage ended up being on my cream colored dresser which is covered with white and pink things! XD







 ^the awesomely 日本語 instructions! Too bad I backed out of my 2nd semester of Japanese this spring because my schedule was too full... I slightly regretted it today.






After unpacking it, I was planning to take photos of the construction in stages but then I got into building mode and totally forgot... So here it is finished:

The dome had red and green stickers on it that read "IRIS Hamster Dome Tower" and "something something Hiragana Katakana something Kanji." They were totally distracting and ruined the clean simplicity of the cage so I peeled them off and stuck them to the instruction sheet :b

^The wheel (which I may have to replace if our hamster is too big)! By the way, that's my poinsettia on the left that I've managed to keep alive since last December! It's not as bright red as it used to be though u.u

I did an extra one with the flash because it's more accurate to the actual color. Sorry my balcony is such a mess y'all.

Stay tuned for The Dome Tower Part II (Moving in the hamster)! It'll probably be sometime this summer as I don't want to adopt a pet when my schedule is so full and all D:

Makeup Post! Big Bang - Monster~ G-Dragon's crazy goth look!

This was something I did for a pre-Halloween look last year. The makeup was based on GD's in Big bang's Monster MV and the hair is based on Jane's from twilight. I don't really have much of a reason for combining the two, but I thought G-Dragon's hair would've taken too much effort and I'm bad at doing hair! Heh... So anyway, here's the specific makeup I was trying to recreate:

Of course after putting on all that makeup and all, I had to take plenty of pics. I like the one above the best but I have some others that came out with better resolution, which may or may not be a good thing..

If I was a comic book character I imagine I'd look pretty similar to this^

Detailed and scary right? I apologize for looking so disgruntled. I may never be able to pull of a GD expression without looking furious. Maybe I subconsciously needed to express Jane's personality.

I have at least one more makeup post from last October to put up... It'll be strange in an entirely different, not so androgynous way! See you then~ :3

In the absence of ghosts...

It's really just a foundation, nothing special. Maybe other people are more lucky with the haunted places these days because my paranormal project was a total bust. If only I had one of those fancy ghost-o-meters like on television... I'd be able to decipher the sound of a bee landing on a flower petal and then find a way to spin that sound into some ancient word from a foreign language that means "get out!" or "You're DOOMED." Here's the location in question (as it looked one year ago when I took the pics):



It used to be a house and they say this foundation is, of course, built on an Indian burial ground/plot/something. It's common knowledge to people in the area that this is the home of furious and tormented spirits!



I tried all sorts of ghost huntin' techniques that I've heard about. Sadly nothing worked. I even resorted to the most basic of research techniques: poking it with a stick. Still nothing; except the collective judgement and scorn of paranormal investigators everywhere that're furious at my inexperienced attempts to harass spirits.








I tried one last idea. I took a break to meditate as I've heard that can be helpful...

















OMG!... Nothing! Like I said in the beginning, I didn't get my desired results. XD




The scraggly tree was pleasant as always though!

Oddly enough, I recently came across some Halloween photos I took in a house where the previous owner died and it has all sorts or freaky stuff in it. It only ever happened on that Halloween and I honestly think the pics are pretty obvious evidence of a ghost. I'll update my list of things to do~ upload those photos next time we're talking about ghosts.
